JEMBER, October 12, 2026 – The Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) of Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq State Islamic University (UIN KHAS) Jember held its 44th Yudisium (Graduation Certification Ceremony) on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Hotel Fortuna Grande Jember. The event was attended by 90 graduating students, along with university and faculty leadership.
The ceremony marked an important milestone for students who had completed their studies at FEBI UIN KHAS Jember. Beyond celebrating their academic achievements, the event served as an opportunity to reflect on their educational journeys, character development, and readiness to contribute to society and the professional world.
In his address, the Dean of FEBI UIN KHAS Jember congratulated all graduates on successfully overcoming the various challenges they had faced throughout their studies. He expressed his appreciation for their dedication and perseverance in reaching the final stage of their academic journey. He also offered an apology for any shortcomings in the services and academic guidance provided during their time at the faculty.
The Dean emphasized that education at FEBI is not solely focused on academic achievement but also on shaping students’ personalities and moral character. Therefore, graduates are expected to uphold the identity of UIN KHAS Jember alumni by demonstrating good manners, integrity, and honesty in every aspect of their lives.
“Be alumni who possess not only competence but also good character and integrity. Uphold honesty wherever you are, and always safeguard the good name of UIN KHAS Jember and FEBI,” he emphasized in his address.
Meanwhile, the Vice-Rector I of UIN KHAS Jember, Prof. Dr. Khusna Amal, M.Si., highlighted the importance of continuously developing one’s potential after completing higher education. He encouraged graduates to remain committed to lifelong learning, broaden their perspectives, build networks, and strengthen their social contributions as essential preparations for addressing future challenges.
Several key areas of personal and professional development were highlighted in his remarks.
First, scientific discourse capability, which refers to the ability to engage in academic discussions, develop critical thinking, and present ideas through well-reasoned arguments. This capability is essential for strengthening graduates’ intellectual capacity and enabling them to adapt to advances in knowledge and the evolving dynamics of society.
Second, networking, which encompasses relationships with Allah SWT (hablumminallah) and relationships with fellow human beings (hablumminannas). Graduates are encouraged to maintain strong relationships with fellow alumni, establish partnerships, and expand their professional networks. Such connections represent valuable investments and forms of social capital that can support success in professional careers and community life.
Third, social engagement, which involves active participation in community life and meaningful contributions to society. Graduates are encouraged to engage in religious organizations, social initiatives, and various forms of community service. In this regard, the success of higher education should not be measured solely by individual achievements but also by the benefits graduates bring to the communities around them.
Fourth, strengthening synergy and solidarity among graduates. The Vice-Rector I stressed the importance of collaboration, mutual support, and avoiding unhealthy competition. Alumni are expected to work together to create opportunities, strengthen networks, and make positive contributions to the continued development of their alma mater.
These messages serve as a reminder that graduation is not the end of the learning process but the beginning of a new journey toward developing competencies, broadening experiences, and generating greater benefits for society. Graduates are expected to integrate academic capabilities, Islamic values, professionalism, and social responsibility in responding to the challenges they encounter.
The 44th Yudisium of FEBI UIN KHAS Jember is expected to serve as a springboard for the 90 graduates as they embark on careers, pursue entrepreneurship, or dedicate themselves to community service, carrying with them the values and knowledge acquired throughout their studies.
Through this event, FEBI UIN KHAS Jember reaffirmed its commitment to producing graduates who excel not only in Islamic economics and business but also demonstrate strong character, integrity, collaborative abilities, and a commitment to making tangible contributions to societal progress.
